Auto Computer Exchange warrants to the original retail purchaser of the vehicle the Engine Control Unit (ECU, ECM. ECC) to be free of defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle in which it is installed. This warranty does not cover any Engine Control Unit (ECU, ECM, ECC) that is used for commercial vehicles (tow truck, snow plow, etc.). Agricultural and racing vehicles are also not covered by the Limited Lifetime Warranty. |

Bmw Auto Computers is a division of Auto Computer Exchange. Auto Computer Exchange does not warranty the proper or improper installation and/or application of the purchased, exchanged, traded, bartered, or complimentary procured engine control unit (ECU, ECM, ECC) and/or the competence and/or diagnosis of the installer. Auto Computer Exchange assumes no liability and will not pay for labor, damage, rental car, hotel, towing claims, etc. arising from the installation or use of the above mentioned Engine Control Unit (ECU, ECM, ECC). Also, due to the complexity of emission control systems, the manufacturer does not warranty the Engine Control Unit (ECU, ECM, ECC) to pass emission control inspection solely on their own merit. This guarantee does not apply to any defects caused by misuse, collisions or other accidents, negligence, or any authorized or unreasonable use including, but not limited to, improper application and installation.
Auto Computer Exchange neither assumes nor authorizes any person, agent, distributor, dealer, repair technician, service facility, or company to change, modify, supplement or amend this Limited Lifetime Service Guarantee or assume any warranty or liability in connection with the remanufacturing, sale, shipment or use of these products. Auto Computer Exchange does not authorize any other person, agent, distributor, dealer, repair technician, service facility, or company to make any qualitative determinations as to the fitness of these products.
Auto Computer Exchange reserves the right to make changes, modifications, or improvements in these products without incurring any obligation to similarly alter, modify, or improve products previously purchased, exchanged, traded, bartered, or complimentary procured. |

Purchaser must present original sale receipt and box must be clearly marked with RGA number before any warranty work will be performed. |

Engine Control Unit (ECU, ECM, ECC) will only be re-tested, and/or remanufactured under warranty with approval from the Auto Computer Exchange Customer Service Dept. The customer must first call our Customer Service Department with any problems or issues before removing the unit(s). An RGA number will be required to return the product(s) to Auto Computer Exchange for warranty work. |

All Engine Control Units (ECU's, ECM's. ECC's) must be returned to Auto Computer Exchange for warranty work. |

No exchanges, refunds or credits will be given at any time. |

Any tamper seal found to be broken will automatically void the lifetime guarantee. |

Any returned Engine Control Unit (ECU, ECM, ECC) found to be contaminated with rust, varnish, or any other type of contaminant, will automatically void the lifetime service guarantee.

Auto Computer Exchange will not cover any warranty shipping, whether back to or from our facilities. At the time we are notified of an issue that requires a unit to be sent in for warranty, a return shipping charge will be charged at that time so an RGA number can be provided to be written on the box so the unit will be accepted back at our facility. Ground Service will run $14.95, 2nd Day Air will run $29.95 and Next Day Air will run $44.95

Cores must be returned in the original box in which your ECU / ECM / ECC were sent to you. The returned core must have the same OEM part number as the remanufactured unit purchased and be in rebuildable condition to receive credit. Core must be received back to us within 20 days of your order date to be eligible for the core deposit. Core must be returned to the address from which the unit was sent as we have multiple facilities - be sure not to send the unit back to the address listed on the CONTACT US or CUSTOMER SERVICE pages of this website.
If not received in the original box, maximum allowable credit is 10% of the published core charge.
No core credit will be given if the following conditions are present:
1. A core that is non-remanufacturable and/or does not communicate with our testing/diagnostics equipment.
2. A core that is damaged, cracked, melted, broken, corroded or has missing components.
3. Visible signs of rust, fire damage, water damage or physical abuse / force.
4. Non-OEM Engine Control Units (ECU's, ECM's, ECC's).
5. The core information label on the top flap in the box must be completed. |

In the event that a unit is sent to us for our R&R (Remanufacture & Return) Service and it is non-remanufacturable, if the order is not changed to an outright unit that ships from our inventory as a replacement for the customer's defective unit, a minimum $89.95 non-refundable fee will be assessed for diagnostic and testing fees, and we will not cover return shipping of the unit back to the customer. Ground Service will run $14.95, 2nd Day Air will run $29.95 and Next Day Air will run $44.95
